‘whole reason why’ is a sonic celebration of the fact that we are each a whole universe and completely lovable ✨

i want to make you feel perfect
the way you are in my eyes
i want to show you the whole world
the one i see when you smile
i’ve never written a love song
that tells the truth in my heart
cuz i’m afraid if i say it
i will just fall apart

[chorus]
you’re the sun, you’re the moon, you’re the stars in the sky
you’re the light, you’re the dark, you’re the reason i cry
you’re the wind in my sails, you’re the thorn in my side
you’re the reason, the whole reason why

i’ll stand beside you forever
whether you’re near or far
and nothing can take away from how i see what you are
no
and there is nothing you’ll give me
that can add to it more
you are the light to my shadow
you’re the love at my core

[chorus]

you’re the wind in my sails, you’re the thorn in my side
you’re the reason, the whole reason why
