From sad gay pop to velvet rage rock. Here's to the other side of the Ecotone.

It was about 2 years ago that Ben released his first "non-worship" record into the world, departing from a history of Gospel music. Going from pastor's kid in the south to moving to California, coming out, and rediscovering his artistry, a lot of life happened for Ben. A common story for LGBTQ+ people. Flocking to the coasts, starting new lives. However, more so than a rejection, Ben seemed to be bridging the gap of his story with the release of 'Ecotone Pt. I.' This 80's sci-fi-laced sound established a new terrain for the almost 30 year old, giving us insight into what this transition space has looked like. Wrestling with themes of loneliness, heartbreak, and longing, Ben gave us stories that revealed the struggle of trying to hold on to faith while also existing on the margins.
Now, 2 years later, we arrive at the final act in the Ecotone series. New songs with a more assured sound, in a new landscape, yet still asking familiar questions. 'Ecotone, Pt. II' begins now...
