About The Release

The *Blue Hour* album was a journey through grief and the complex emotions that came with it. During this process, we filmed a documentary that delves into how music became a vital part of my healing. The documentary offers a glimpse of my childhood home, intimate studio sessions, and how the music was received as we took it on tour. This culminated in the final performance of the *Blue Hour Tour*, a sold-out show in San Francisco at the legendary August Hall. I performed many tracks from the album, along with classics like "Level Up," "Where I Belong," and "Time." The night featured special guest performances by Goapele and P-Lo. The EP includes songs that were close to being part of *The Blue Hour* but didn’t make the final cut for various reasons. These tracks still resonate deeply with me, so I wanted to share them with you. The “Heal” T-shirt was designed by my creative director, Ayo. It embodies one of the key lessons from my grieving journey: “You were meant to heal.” Even in our darkest times, there’s a lesson to be learned. This shirt represents that truth.
