Numb was born from a fall—a literal one at a Berlin train station, but also a metaphorical one. I was soaring, pushing hard, and then my body gave out. It's a song about enduring so much pain that you become numb, where joy fades, and you're trapped in a loop of feeling something is wrong but unable to grasp it. It's about those crushing lows, the ones that remind us of our shared humanity. "Numb" is an acknowledgment that life is an endless cycle of emotions, a reminder that the lows make the highs worth cherishing
