i loved this shoot dayyy. i wanted to capture the energy, vibrancy and colour that comes with India and desi culture. it was so fun to put a spotlight on South Indian beauty by having my friends involved in this lil visual. as a Tamil girl, i never saw myself represented. i just wanted to make something little me would love.

move my body - visual 1

this is my favourite part of the songgg <3 i love creating atmosphere and worlds with my sound and music. desi artists and singers are so so so unique and getting to create in this way unlocked so much in my own voice. i'm excited to keep growing!

move my body - visual 2

this is the first demo of move my body. as you can hear, we kept so much of it because we just loved the organic feeling / energy. i cut these vocals myself and creating this song pushed me to use my voice as an instrument. i was so inspired by high-energy south indian music where it's all about pace, energy and feeling. i love documenting every step of the process of creation and sharing it too.
