I posted some reels on my instagram talking about how my life was around the time I made the song, how I lost my job, my car broke down, and how I was struggling. The song is made from my point of view when I would get into new relationships. I had been hurt before, so when I met someone new I'd set that boundary between us and lay the ground rules of what this is gonna be. Anyone who has met someone new can have their own interpretation of what this song means to them because I'm sure it's different for other people.
