About The Release

DOM is a 7 track EP I will be releasing in dedication to my first son, Dominic DeBlase, being born yesterday on January 5th, 2024. As I sit here and type this, I am currently quarantining in my studio away from my baby and wife because I am Covid positive. Although I was able to be there for the actual birth (at a distance with a mask on), it was against hospital policy to allow me to stay overnight. Leaving that hospital room, although definitely the rational and safer option, was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do. Not being able to spend the first few days of Dominic's life with him is heartbreaking, but I know it is the right thing to do to keep him and my wife safe. So, I am using this time in seclusion and recovery to complete this. I have been woking on this album for about 8 years now. It is a compilation of my favorite songs I have ever created, featuring some amazing artists I've met along the way during my musical journey. I did not create this album to try to garner worldwide acclaim, but rather to finish what I started. I need to be able to be a role model for Dominic and show that you should always finish what you start, no matter how daunting or insurmountable the task may seem. Giving him something to listen to when he is older to show him how much I have been thinking about him in the past few months leading up to his birth is a special added bonus! You can even hear Dom being born in the outro! I hope whoever decides to listen to this project both enjoys and gains something from it because it comes from a real place of passion for music, love for those closest to you and personal growth.
