This is about every person judged, mistreated, or criminalised just for the colour of their skin. 

One ordinary day in Kent, United Kingdom. I was stopped, questioned, and arrested — not because I committed a crime, but because I “looked like” someone who did. The only resemblance? We were both Black.

The officers had a photo of the actual suspect. Even then, they insisted I looked like him. I was handcuffed, humiliated, and made to feel like my existence was suspicious. This wasn’t the first time I’d experienced profiling — just the latest chapter in a pattern.

That experience broke something in me, but it also sparked something: I wrote “ Criminal” as a cry from the soul. It’s not just about me — it’s about every person judged, mistreated, or criminalised just for the colour of their skin. This song is truth, pain, protest, and healing — all in one rhythm.
