Shall Be One, born amidst the chaos of a hurricane in Puerto Rico, carries a story as powerful as the forces of nature. With a military family background, his life has been a series of relocations—from the Pacific Northwest in Seattle, to the heart of Kansas City, the golden coasts of California, and finally to Chicago before settling in Virginia. This nomadic lifestyle exposed him to a broad spectrum of cultures and music scenes, shaping his deep connection with hip hop. Drawing from the golden age of hip hop in the '80s and '90s, Shall Be One fuses old school lyricism with modern production. His tracks are a homage to the genre’s roots while pushing boundaries with fresh, innovative sounds. His upbringing across continents and cities has woven a rich tapestry of cultural influences into his music, blending urban Chicago grit with the inventive rhythms of Virginia.
