BZA
The first solo EP from BZA, 1/4th of Mindz of a Different Kind, after 14 years and multiple projects. Always looking for history in his wordplay, this EP comes influenced from learning a new language from old culture with mixed meaning.
About The Release
Along with his multiple projects with MDK, BZA has been a founding member and crucial voice in forming other international projects with MDKDFT (Mindz of a Different Kind and Da French Touch), as well as the One Village Music Project in support of The Amala Foundation. With this project the Texas native brings in a mix of French adding to the natural flow between languages, a topic the group has brought focus to in the years that they've been together. Serving in workshops, elementary to university, and incarcerated population locally, nationally, and internationally. With years of touring and public speaking around community programming & education inequality, the topics come up in their own way across the album often. Through his battle with epilepsy, memory has remained a hurdle in music among other pathways. This EP came one week after being hospitalized for a week from seizures in late fall 2024.
